Dear Client,

First of all, Happy New Year to all.

We are now deep in wave two in the shadow of the corona. The outlook is somewhat blurred, but all indications are that the restrictions will continue until Easter, which mean the beginning of April.

To the extent possible, we are ready to continue with onsite audits provided that the guidelines from the authorities are followed.

We are similarly ready for remote audits to the extent permitted by the accreditation authorities (and Scheme Owners). Fortunately, they have permitted this for the vast majority of schemes, but there are still few exceptions. You can find out the exceptions by contacting your lead auditor or your contact person in our planning.

In connection with the implementation of planned audits, it is important that the agreed date is maintained - regardless of whether the audit is carried out onsite or converted to a remote audit. Otherwise, we risk that audits accumulate and that we will not be able to carry out deferred audits.

If your company completely chooses to postpone a planned activity, we have in this extraordinary situation chosen to deviate from our normal cancellation rules. Thus, we will only invoice actual costs that we may have in connection with the given activity. The amount is a minimum of 20% of the contractual amount. When rebooking the deferred activity, it must be expected that not all wishes regarding auditors and time can be complied with.

We would like to thank you for the willingness to cooperate we have experienced during the corona in relation to having audits carried out and thereby ensuring the validity of the certifications. We have similarly tried to be flexible, so all in all we can look back on a 2020 that did not develop quite as catastrophically as it looked like in April last year. It has been a tough year, but we also know that there are industries that have been hit even harder.

Bureau Veritas is looking forward to getting started in 2021 and fortunately it looks like there is light ahead in the form of various vaccination programs, so we really look forward to get closer to normal conditions sometime after the summer holidays.

Your usual contacts at Bureau Veritas are also available to answer any questions.

Kind regards

Certification activities

Dear client,

The summer holidays are over for most of us, and we are now in the second half of 2020. The first half has offered many challenges, and it unfortunately does not seem that it is completely over. There have been and will continue to be local outbreaks that require actions.

We would like to thank you for the willingness to cooperate, we have experienced in the first half of the year in relation to having audits carried out and thereby ensuring the validity of your certificates. In the beginning of the Corona crisis, it has primarily been via remote audits, but during the second quarter, the picture turned and more or less all audits were conducted as on-site audits. Although remote audits can cover a lot, an onsite audit provides a more complete picture after all.

We are ready to continue with onsite audits in the second half of the year. Some activities can still be performed as remote audits. It will e.g. be system review or follow-up on major non-conformities. It will be the lead auditor in collaboration with you who decides what is best.

As we have seen examples of over the summer, there may be companies or even regions / areas that are affected and will therefore be exposed to local restrictions. This can happen at short notice and if the situation arises we have to take it on a case by case basis with the companies concerned.

Bureau Veritas looks forward to visit you again, so all audits are scheduled as on-site audits again. This is of course done with due regard for the guidelines issued by the authorities nationally or locally.

Bureau Veritas monitor the development and supply necessary updates. You can see the updates at our website: https://www.bureauveritas.dk/da/newsroom/covid-19

Your usual contacts at Bureau Veritas will also be available to answer possible questions.

Kind regards
