"No matter where you work and what you do, the working environment has a large effect on your job satisfaction. I have experienced this many times – as newly qualified when I started working as a chemical engineer at the Danish Working Environment Agency where I visited many companies to assess their working environment and today as Senior Chemical Advisor at Bureau Veritas.
In my department, we advise companies about working environment issues by for instance mapping the occupational strains of different professions, or by helping companies take charge of their handling of chemicals and prepare chemical workplace assessments (APV).
At the same time I am so lucky to have the opportunity to participate actively in the working environment at my own workplace, as I have been elected working environment representative – THAT is what gives me job satisfaction" says Bente Hviid Nesting, Senior Chemical Advisor at Bureau Veritas.
