SMEs are facing increasing demands for ESG documentation from customers, investors, and partners, which can be resource-intensive. However, support is available for your company’s green transition and ESG efforts through the Virksomhedsprogrammet's funding pools: SME:Bæredygtighed, SME:Grønne Kompetencer, SME:Digital, SME:Pro, and SME:Eksport.
The funding offers more than just financial support — you also gain professional guidance, practical tools, and access to experts who can strengthen and qualify your company’s ESG work.
SMV:Bæredygtighed
Apply for up to DKK 150,000 in funding. You can apply for up to DKK 150,000 in funding for external consultancy and investments that promote the development and implementation of green solutions with a focus on circular economy including relevant certification.
Your company can have up to 50% of the costs covered for professional consultancy that supports your green transition.

SMV:Grønne Kompetencer
Facing ESG reporting, communicating sustainability efforts, developing a green strategy, or reducing your carbon footprint?
With funding for competence development, your company can strengthen employees, management, and the board with new knowledge and tools that better prepare you to meet the demands of the green transition.
Under SME:Grønne Kompetencer the following grants are available:
- DKK 60,000 for a company-specific competence development program involving relevant employees, tailored to your company’s situation and needs.
- DKK 60,000 for an open competence-enhancing course offered by a course provider.

SMV:Digital
Want to accelerate your company’s digital development? SME:Digital could be the right opportunity for you. For example, you can apply for funding for private consultancy to improve your IT security or support for implementing a major system integration across business areas.

This funding pool is open for applications from March 9 2026 at 9:00.
SMV:Pro
Your company may be growing fast — but are you missing the foundation that ensures long-term health? With SME:Pro, your company can apply for funding to continue the journey toward professionalizing your organization. This includes support for developing a strategy and growth plan, as well as collecting data to help management make informed, fact-based decisions.
When can my company apply for SME:Pro?
SME:Pro is open for applications in March 2026.
SMV:Eksport
With SME:Export, your company can receive 50% in funding for an expert - and up to DKK 150.000 or DKK 300.000 to enter new markets. The funding can be used for market analyses, certifications, or product registrations to better prepare your company for export.
When can my company apply for SME:Export?
The grant scheme is open for applications from March 2 from 8:00 to March 9 at 23:59.
