Introduction

This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical tools to conduct internal audits in a Combined Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) Management System. Based on the auditing principles of ISO 19011, the course emphasizes an integrated approach, risk-based thinking, and process-oriented auditing techniques.

Content

Day 1 – Introduction & Planning

• Introduction to integrated management systems (IMS) – purpose and benefits
• Overview of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements
• Introduction to ISO 19011 – auditing principles and methodology
• Audit planning: scope, objectives, checklists, and documentation

Day 2 – Conducting the Audit

• Audit methods: interviews, sampling, observations, and evidence gathering
• Auditor roles and responsibilities: auditor, lead auditor, auditee
• Practical workshops: audit case studies and role-play
• Risk-based thinking in auditing (ISO 19011 focus)

Day 3 – Reporting & Follow-up

• Identifying and formulating non-conformities
• Writing clear and actionable audit reports
• Following up on corrective actions and closing audits
• Final assessment: written and/or practical audit test

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the structure and purpose of a combined QHSE management system
