BRCGS & IFS
certification

Food security requirements are growing. Consumers and authorities are increasingly demanding that the foods we all eat must be of high quality and with a high level of safety. If problems occur, the source of the error must be found and rectified quickly. The requirements are primarily aimed at retail, but from there they spread throughout the food chain to the processing industry, primary producers and transporters.

Become certified by BRCGS

Bureau Veritas Certification Denmark A/S

To supply food to a number of English retail chains such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury, special approval is required for a number of general things that have an impact on quality and food safety. Many of the requirements for suppliers are described in the BRCGS standard published by British supermarket chain. The chains require an independent external source to review and approve the supplier's quality and food safety system. Bureau Veritas Certification Denmark A/S has been approved by the UKAS accrediting authority, UKAS, to conduct these BRCGS audits.

The benefits of a BRCGS certification

  • Access to some of Europe's largest retail chains
  • UKAS accredited certificate
  • Minimizing customer audits through simultaneous inspection of other standards e.g. International Food Standard (IFS)
  • Integration with other standards eg. ISO 9001 (quality) or ISO 14001 (environment)
  • Danish-speaking auditors with knowledge of local culture and legislation

Become certified by IFS International food standard

Bureau Veritas Certification Denmark A/S

To supply food to a number of German and French retail chains, such as Aldi, Lidl and Metro special approvals are required on a number of things that affect quality and food safety. The requirements for the suppliers are described in the International Food Standard (IFS), which was prepared by the German supermarket chain HDE (Hauptverband des Deutschen Einzelhandels). It was later joined by their French sister organization FCD (Fédération des entreprises du Commerce et de la Distribution). The chains require an independent external source to review and approve the supplier's quality and food safety system. Bureau Veritas Certification Denmark A/S is approved by the Danish accreditation scheme, DANAK, to conduct these IFS audits.
