DSV – the world's third largest transport and logistics company

Through for instance the acquisition of Panalpina in 2019 and Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) in 2021 DSV has placed itself among leading logistics and transport companies. With investments of more than 60 billion DKK in connection with the latest two acquisitions, the company is now the world’s third largest transport and logistics company with 75,000 employees in more than 90 countries. Does the company’s growth travel stop here? Hardly!

Contemporary with the massive acquisitions, the company has been able to standardise procedures and processes within the company. In 2021 DSV proudly received one global multi-certificate covering quality management (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001) for more than 500 of the company’s offices globally.

But why is it so important to work with scalable, standardised processes at DSV? And how did they succeed in integrating the acquisitions so fast and create common processes and employee engagement regarding good client experiences? This you can hear much more about at Bureau Veritas’ Kick Off 2022 where Michael Ebbes will also estimate how the company will look in 5-10 years.

Michael Ebbe, Group CFO, DSV A/S
