ISO 9001 – From minimum requirements to maximum value

02.01.24

Like for many other companies, the ISO 9001 standard equals a license to operate for Inrotech A/S but the company's quality management system has proven to be able to do much more than that.

Inrotech A/S does not hide the fact that the reason for the company's ISO 9001 certification is due to minimum requirements from their customers. However, but this does not mean that the management at Inrotech A/S sets minimum requirements for their quality management system.

"We have created a quality management system based on the individual employee, and it is not a "top down" system. All employees continuously contribute to developing the management system, which is an active tool in everyday life. For instance, when we communicate with our customers," says Henrik Lenskjold, CEO at Inrotech A/S.

Inrotech A/S develops intelligent and mobile robotic welding systems used at shipyards, offshore, in connection with green energy and by manufacturers of strong steel structures. The company's customers are therefore often large companies, where ISO 9001 is a crucial quality stamp when choosing suppliers.

Growth journey with ISO 9001

The ISO 9001 certification has also proven to be a valuable companion on the company's strong growth journey, where the dynamic quality management system contributes greatly to the development of the company and its processes.

Therefore, there is no doubt whether the ISO 9001 certification has been a good investment for Inrotech A/S, which was re-certified by Bureau Veritas Certification without hesitation in the spring of 2023.

"We have used Bureau Veritas Certification as a certification body for many years, and therefore our auditor has a great understanding of our company and of our development. This creates great value for us, which is why we had no doubt that Bureau Veritas should be responsible for our re-certification of ISO 9001," Henrik Lenskjold concludes.
