DSV achieves a multisite certificate with almost 500 locations

12.01.21

In the spring of 2021, Bureau Veritas Denmark handed over a multisite certificate to DSV as documentation of the company’s certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 at almost 500 locations.

In the spring of 2020, DSV set the ambitious goal to gather the company’s ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications in a global multisite certificate covering all the company’s locations with certifications within the three ISO standards.

In a strong cooperation with Bureau Veritas Denmark, the roll-out of the multisite certification was planned location by location starting in August 2020. Already in March 2021, DSV could celebrate that they had achieved a multisite certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 at almost 500 locations.

”I am really proud that we have reached our goal of a global multisite certificate in only eight months. This is an unprecedented short time for such a complex certification roll-out, especially considering that we did this simultaneously with a global pandemic and the integration of Panalpina – our latest acquisition. This is a permanent proof of how focused and dedicated our employees are. It is an absolute pleasure,” says Peter Munch-Hansen, Senior Director, DSV, and he thanks Bureau Veritas Denmark for the effort:

”From the beginning, Bureau Veritas was a partner understanding our goals, and Bureau Veritas was willing to walk an extra mile for us. Considering the time and COVID-19, the coordinating work with the almost 500 locations covered by the certificate has been amazing.”

The multisite certification supports the company’s strategy

Prior to the multisite certification, DSV had a decentral approach to certification driven by local wishes and customer demands. However, with the new certification strategy, the company has achieved a strong global platform where all processes and systems are implemented in one management system.

In addition to the fact that a joint global management system creates value for the company’s employees and management, the multisite certification also supports DSV’s acquisitioning strategy as the company can integrate new companies in an existing structure.

Therefore, DSV has no doubts that the large effort and many hours of coordinating work has been worth it, and the company looks forward to extending the multisite certificate with even more locations before the end of the year.

”We continue our journey and already at the end of 2021, we are going to add even more locations to our multisite certificate, as this is an advantage to both our customers and us as a company,” ends Peter Munch-Hansen.
