Magenta ApS strengthens their cybersecurity with ISO 27001 and ISO 27701

Cybersecurity as top priority

Magenta ApS is an open-source software company delivering safety solutions and compliance solutions to public as well as private companies in Denmark, Greenland, and Scandinavia. They have worked with security in different ways through the national project Security by Design and the codex of the IT industry in connection with handling security flaws.

Now Magenta ApS has taken a step further and strengthened the company’s cyber and information safety with an ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certification. If you ask why, the answer is simple:

“We wish to have a strong position on future markets, and show our customers that safety is not just something we write about but also something we comply with” explains the owner and founder of Magenta ApS, Morten Kjærsgaard and continues:

“With the numerous, future compliance requirements, it is crucial that we can document towards present and future customers that we are in control of our business, and that they can feel secure with choosing us as their business partner.”

More than just documentation of cybersecurity

“By having their products and processes certified, Magenta ApS documents that the company complies with different cybersecurity requirements. This means that they secure the protection of data and own processes at a certain level through a trained mindset with their employees” tells Lotte Høst Vestergaard, auditor at Bureau Veritas Denmark, who has certified Magenta ApS.

ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 have thus resulted in more than just a certificate. The process behind has been incredibly productive for the company which has strengthened its own internal processes and trained its employees in cybersecurity.

“Work carried out ahead of the certification has contributed to create a high awareness and understanding of how a management system within cybersecurity can guide the company in the right direction. At the same time, it has helped us in getting a good overview of our company’s assets and risks, and this has strengthened our processes” tells Morten Kjærsgaard. 

Thus, Magenta ApS is better prepared for the increasing demands in the future within cybersecurity and not least to help more customers with good open-source solutions.
